List of power stations in Sri Lanka
The following page lists all power stations in Sri Lanka that are connected to the grid, and owned by the Government, Ceylon Electricity Board and other local public and private sector organizations.
Power stations
Non-renewable
The following are all power stations that run on non-renewable fuels.[1]
Coal
The government has agreed to permit the construction and operations of only two coal power stations in the country; the Norocholai and the Sampur power stations. After the commissioning of those power stations, no more coal plants will be allowed.[2]
